Asked: Help me understand chemical peel ...?ive read that you shouldnt use tca peel if you have herpes simplex 1 . i did a bigger spot on my cheeks and nothing happened. i want to do another spot but i might not be so lucky next time but i want to fix my acne scars. so if i have an outbreak would it be right after i apply the peel or when the peel starts peeling? is it more of a risk if you do full face peel like around the mouth ? im just trying to understand how it can spread and if its less likely to if i do spot treatment, not anywhere near the mouth area. if so what can i do because i
